I had been following the clinic’s Facebook page when I saw the post about the puppies Harry, caught my heart immediately I thought about him for several months.

Sunday July 9th, 2023, my husband and I had decided to attend the local concert in the park we had never been to one but, for some reason we made that our Sunday venture.

If anyone has been to such an event, they have food vendors and all sorts of fun activities kind of like the nostalgic yesteryears. We live in a small Mid-west rural community where everyone knows everyone.

As I sat there listening to the music watching people enjoying the hometown comradery, I noticed a couple sitting in front of us and the wife was holding their dog, it was a Boston. My eyes teared up as I thought of my boys.

As my husband and I made our way to the food vendor area to grab a bite I noticed the Local Veterinary Clinic had a food tent set up for a fundraiser for the local rescue.

While we were waiting in line, I heard someone behind us talking I recognized the voice. It was the Veterinary Dr. Kim. She came up and visited with my husband and I. She had her dog with her as I bent down petted him, his tail wagged with excitement I don’t know but I wonder if he remembered me from our visits to the clinic.

During our visit with Dr. Kim, I asked about the Lenten Litter and asked if they had been adopted. When she told us there was one male left of the litter waiting for his forever home. At this point we had no idea which puppy it was.

As we made it to the food table one of the clinic staff was serving the food, I had asked her if she had a picture of the puppy that was still waiting for their forever home, she pulled the picture up on her phone. It was the fellow that caught my heart, Harry you know that saying here is your sign.

The next day we decided to have a meet and greet at the foster home he was staying at which was actually a staff member who also works at the clinic. She also worked at the daycare where our boys went.

Yesterday we met Harry, and our journey began. He will join our family on July 27th.

Thank you, boys, for bringing Harry into our lives mom and Dad miss you.
